What was your inspiration?
A visit to the Quilt Fair and my son's 18th birthday. He is into music so I wanted to do something with guitars. I HAD NEVER QUILTED OR PATCHWORKED before.
What are you most proud of?
The fact that I even finished it. The photo was taken on the loungeroom floor when I was putting it all together with the wadding and backing fabric.
That I made the pattern myself. I had no idea how big it was going to turn out. I have only a normal sewing machine.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Think about the size of your squares and the pattern and multiply and calculate the finished size.
Have a bit of experience, take a big breath and go for it - I did.
