What was your inspiration?

My daughter Lou saw a duvet cover in a magazine advertisment and asked me to make her one similar with fabrics of her choice.

What are you most proud of?

So happy to have completed it as this was my first time making a duvet cover. I made a few mistakes along the way and had to rip out some... but I am so pleased I have completed this.

I am surprising them with it on their bed when they arrive home from holidays:))))

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Don't be afraid to try something new.
I just searched the net for advice on how to make a duvet.

We always take our down comforter with us in the motor home & I have made covers for it. But now I am going to try your idea, with fabrics that will coordinate with the vehicle. Thank you again for sharing.

What a great way to combine quilting with duvet covers! I never used a duvet until I was in Ireland last Oct. Your daughter is going to love it.
