Patchwork effect upholstery fabric, lining and clasps from an old handbag.
What was your inspiration?
An old handbag where the outer was worn but lining was still usable. I had some beautiful patchwork upholstery fabric I thought would look good replacing the original outer.
What are you most proud of?
Took the bag to bits used the bits as a pattern for a new outer.. and managed to remember how to put them all back together.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Number the pieces as you take them apart as a guide to how you will reconstruct the bag.
