vinyl wallpaper or brown paper packaging paper 16 x 16 cut out various shapes of fabrics, circles, hearts, rectangles, squares , diamonds and one at a time sew to the paper . Paper can be as big as your sewing machine can manage 16" by 16" worked well for me.

I love to sew but not a great seamstress

Most proud that my sister kept one of these for her house.
