What was your inspiration?

My son is a Jazz musician and love cats and of course Paris! I did this quilt as a gift for his birthday.

What are you most proud of?

It was very difficult to find the fabrics to go with this theme that satisfy my idea. It is not completely as I wanted, but I realized I had to finish it in time and it was close enough to accept it as good.
I had lots of problems with the white batting which kept fluffing up on the black top fabric. Used anti static clothing spray to brush it off while quilting. This worked fine and after quilting is not a problem.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

The use of machine embroidery designs makes the quilt very unique and also helps to add versatility to the theme you create.
Embroidery the blocks first and arrange them as you like.
