You are doing great! I see the missed join in the center rings, now (I had to look awhile!) The last picot of the last inner ring is joined to the first picot of the first inner ring, when you get to that place in the tatting. It's just a normal join like all the other rings. You don't need to do any kind of fancy "folded join" there. The only time you need a folded join is when the tops of the rings in a motif are all facing outwards from the center. In this pattern, those inner rings are all facing inward - so the last join is not hard to get at to do.
