What was your inspiration?

Trying to get pants to fit!
I took the first pair I made and added to to the top so they came up closer to my actual waist. I added 2" to the front. 1" to each side and 1/2" to the back. It has resulted in a bit of a mess around the waist but is much better to wear. Looking at the photos, the pants seem to be a bit skewed to one side but I think that is because they are getting 'stuck' on my undies!
There seems to be a bit of extra fabric on back of the legs but, overall, they are much better than the first effort.
I will try to improve the quality of the photos and re-load them.

What are you most proud of?

Not much here - although the pants fit and feel better than the first try.

I have now worn these for a couple of days and I have definitely added TOO MUCH to the front. Probably 1" or 1 1/4" would have been enough. I turned over the front and a further 3/4" and stitched it down. NOT glamorous and NOT good technique but I can wear them with a top not tucked in. I will now start on the next iteration.

I would not bother with the pockets next time! They are not big enough to be useful and are an extra bit of fluff where I don't need any more! perhaps I will try pockets in the side seam for the next pair.

Thanks all for your comments. My Sewing Guild group has a challenge in progress - make a t-shirt from a (specified) Kwik-Sew pattern and then create an outfit around it. So - my next task is to 'create' the next pants from 'proper' fabric' that will become part of that outfit. The only thing I have to do now is find the time!!!

I think they actually look pretty good. Especially like the way the back hangs.

Bevaau, These pants are looking pretty good to me. Esp. the back and sides. I am looking forward to starting my pants.

Hi Bevaau, Have you posted these as a question within one of the classes with one photo attached? Sandra looks there for any questions. I found her advice very helpful. I can't enlarge your pics, but they certainly do look good. The front looks a bit like its puffing out at the front. Keep going! Una
