What was your inspiration?

My sisters birthday. This will go along with her " Fall Gift" lap quilt.
The wonderful embroidery pattern that I got from Cathie " Country Garden Stitchery"

What are you most proud of?

The embroidery & the quilting on the daisies & red leaves.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

This was a very fun project. I also put a note with it. Telling her some of what went on in my life & the world while I was making this for her. What we had spoke of on the phone while I was stitching on the gift. We don't live close, but even if you are next door, this is part of your life that you are sharing. I love that part of making something & sharing. Have a good time with this little project.

Another special gift... lucky sister! Love the wee button, what a cute and quirky touch. The embroidered centre is beautiful, well done!

Thank you Pam, the back side has tiny little buttons & the front has oak leaves in each corner. The embroidery was very enjoyable, as always.

Oh I only saw the yellow leaf button... thanks for telling me there were more, now I see a red one and totally missed the teeny weeny one on the back! Nice touch! Goes beautifully with the matching quilt but the addition of the pink and purple give the mat a real zing.

Thank you PamNZ. I always notice when I am out in the country or forest at fall, that there are always little splashes of pinks & purples. I just love fall. But then, I love it all. :-)
