What was your inspiration?

Seriously, I am in love with slouchy hats and I could not find one that I loved with an open crochet lace. So, I created one. It is named after one of my good friends and the lady who actually did the contract crocheting for this project.

What are you most proud of?

I love how the stitch pattern is uninterrupted when the crown decreases are formed.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

When you swatch always do a gauge check before and after blocking. VERY important with lace as it will stretch so if you make it too big to begin with it will only get bigger!
