I'm wondering which are the fabrics that you didn't like and which did you add.

I wouldn't say I don't like oranges and yellows but that I don't know how to use them, since I don't wear them or use them at home much. In general I avoid brights, but I can see that the brights damped down with some green and blue are actually pretty cool. There are 3 pics; the dull one is my usual go-tos, the very bright ones are the pile that I never seem to use, and the "final" one is the end result.

I LOVE IT! I HAVE CUT FABRIC LIKE THAT . I WANT TO START DOING MY FABRIC LIKE THAT. WHAT IF I USE FABRIC GLUE TO PUT THE PATCHES TOGHTER.

And as you can see I am Not Afraid of Prints. My quilts usually contain sashing or other devices to reduce the busyness, but using more solids would surely help as well.

You said the "duller" picture was your "go to" color scheme. I only see one pop of brighter color in that grouping. It is the turquoise square. I loved that square. I love the final grouping too, but missed the turquoise square. Hope this exploration will bring more brights into your quilts.
