What materials did you use? cotton paisley print, thread, buttons, interfacing

What are you most proud of? When I took hubby's measurements -- he was an XL -- but when I made it XL, he was swimming in it! So was I! And I'm much bigger! Anyway, I did alter it after I finished it -- kind of tricky and it's not the best under the arms, but it fits! More impressive is the fact that the front pocket is under his armpit! He doesn't mind and it doesn't show with the paisley (!). I'm worried that if I try to remove it, the fabric will rip ...

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Measure it along the way! The shirt I made for myself had too long arms and now this one was too broad across the back ...

Hi Slippersmom! Great job on your husband's shirt! I really like the fabric even though it's not what you were hoping for. If you aren't sure about the size, sometimes it helps to pin the pattern together just to see how it fits (even if it's for one side of the body) I'm sure your husband will enjoy this one and many more :-)) Thanks, Pam
