gel food colours (sugarflair); piping bag, 1.5 PME nozzle, Joshua's royal icing (added extra 2 oz of sugar, as I think the one in the UK is a diffrent consistency to the one in the US)

How did you make your filigree so even and beautiful? Did you use a template ?

Thanks :). Yes, I drew a template, then traced it over the cake with a pin. as they are a 6inch and an 8inch, their proportions are 3:4, so when I dicided the bottom 8inch tier in four (so the pattern can fit in 4 times) the same pattern fit in 3 times round the 6inch cake
