Hey Maggie, There's a class you can teach -- the painted cake class!! I know there's another painted cake class on Craftsy, but I want to see how YOU do it!! :D

It's all freehand painting using dust color mixed with a little vodka. Everyone's painting style will be different, but I'd encourage anyone to just PLAY!

I absolutely love your work, its perfection in every way. Please would you be able to tell me how you painted the top tier, what colours do you use, are they gel or lusterdust. Is royal icing involved in any way. It would be a great help as I have tried painting on cakes before but the colours i use are gel. Thank you :)

Hi, Pam9! Sorry I"m just now seeing your question! I use dust colors mixed with a little vodka to turn them into paint. I never use royal icing and everything is freehand.

wow this is amazing. Is the top tear hand painted? THe black outlines are they done with brush or pipping? I love love love love your style!

I don't pipe at all, so this is just freehand with a brush.
