What was your inspiration?

I went out to Spokane, Washington to see my son, daughter-in-love, and my brand new grandgirl for a month this summer. I fell in love with the colors on the mountains and in the lakes. The greens and blues just "got me!" My hubbie so graciously spent two hours in the car while I shopped at Paradise Fibers gathering up all the greens and blues that I saw there!

What are you most proud of?

I find I knit patterns that few have discovered - -not intentionally, but it turns out that way. So, when I am done, and it is just like the designer's, I am happy! And the designers should take all the credit for writing an awesome pattern that requires little help from other knitters or themselves! ; ) Thank you for that!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Go for it. You can make beauty with this one!!!

What yarn did you use...love the colors. We just got back from Washington State and we drove through the Cascades....such beautiful colors in the lakes and trees.

I used Madelinetosh Sock in the green (Cousteau), and Colinette Jitterbug for the top layer (Jay). Wasn't it beautiful? I loved it. I was there in June... gorgeous!

I did not add the beads on the green... the rolling was left on the bottom layer - -I like it!

I am going to reblock in a crescent shape... I blocked too lightly, and want to try again!
