What materials did you use? Paris Flea Market by Moda and Kona Snow. I had lots of extra of this fabric from the Crazy Quilting class

What are you most proud of? I made this as a test run to see if I really wanted to make the full size quilt or not. It wasn't as tedious as i thought it would be. I really love the fabric.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I used Lori Holt's method of for easy corner triangles to sew all the white squares on. That way I didn't have to draw or iron lines on all 5,000 of the tiny squares. I also made the bodies differently. The pattern has you cut the tiny squares to go on the top and bottom of the butterfly body. Instead I cut a long strip of the body fabric that is 6.5 inches tall, and then sewed a strip of white on the bottom and top of this. Then i cut the body piece out with the white pieces already sewn to the top and bottom of it. It saved lots of time and I believe is more accurate.

WONDERFUL fabric choice and work. Love it! It's late where I am right now, and not sure I "Got" all you were saying about the top and bottom of the body, but maybe if I reread it to morrow it will be clearer. It sounds like a great idea! Thanks for sharing
