What was your inspiration?
I watched this video and was so moved to go out and buy old second hand dressers or whatever I could find.
What are you most proud of?
The finish turned out great. I could have done more to enhance it but the weather was cold and I had to get it done fast so it would dry.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Most of the problem was finding the piece at a reasonable cost. These types of dressers made of real wood are hard to find. I even purchased pieces that I thought were real wood but turned out not to be wood, so the Bondo will come in handy to fix the broken spots that are splintered. This piece was pretty clean and I think I paid $3.60 for it at a faith-based second hand store. If this does not sell within a few weeks, I may put legs on it to raise it off the floor. I also added plastic pegs on the bottom to get it off the floor.
