Re-purposed an old book shelf bought at a garage sale for $5. It was old and beat up a bit but I needed something to organize my books and of course, saw it as a blank canvas. I painted in colors that match my decor and taste, teal and black with a Mexican pattern painted on both sides. The insides are just painted with both a lighter and darker shade of teal. Once the pattern was painted, I created a stain and washed over the entire bookcase to give it more of an antique look. I wiped off what I didn't want and then sealed it. For some fun, I created accents using teal glitter paint outlining the bookshelf as well as highlighting the "medallion" design on the sides. I also added a bit of bling with some simple clear and green rhinestones in the center of each medallion. Oh and I also added some great wheels, making it easier to move around my home. Hope you enjoy!
