What was your inspiration?
Chalky shabby chic shades of white and green. Vintage styling.
What are you most proud of?
I designed the pattern stitch myself after many hours of experimenting with different ideas. I wanted the texture to start right at the crown without the instructions getting too complicated. I am very proud of the end result and how easily this hat can be made in different sizes. I am also proud of the fact that the joins in this pattern is virtually invisible :-)
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
This is not a beginner project! You really need to know how to (a) work in the round (b) make basic AND advanced stitches such as working around posts (c) follow standard pattern instructions.
