In magic circle 12 hdc. Join with ss to 1st hdc (12 hdc)
2 hdc in each hdc around (24 hdc) Join with ss to 1st hdc
hdc in same st as join, 2 hdc in next hdc *1hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc* repeat *to* around. Join with ss to 1st hdc. (36 hdc)
hdc in same st as join, 1 hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc *1hdc in next hdc, 1 hdc in next hdc, 2 hdc in next hdc* repeat *to* around. Join with ss to 1st hdc. (48 hdc)
Do 6 rounds hdc even
Change to contrast color
do 3 rounds hdc even
1 round sc. Fasten off
Beak: ch 6, ss in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in next ch, dc in next ch, tc in last ch. Fasten off leaving long enough tail for sewing.
Eyes: Make two: 10 hdc in magic circle, join with ss, 2 hdc in each hdc, join with ss, 2 hdc in each hdc, (40 hdc). Fasten off leaving long enough tail for sewing
Attach beak and eyes using pictures for placement.
Cut 6 9 inch strands of contrast color for each "horn" and attach using pictures for placement.
Sew black button in centre of each eye.

These can be done in cotton or wool depending on the season. You can also add earflaps if you like.
