For: Infant/Baby

Style: Cute, Casual, Whimsical

What was your inspiration?

Love the Owls

What are you most proud of?

NEED YOUR HELP! I am going to make another one like this, only with a green theme.
Is the Quilt too Plain??? Do I need to add more Owls? What do you advise?

THANKS!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Forgot to mention - for the backing - the fabric you see on the RIGHT is the actual fabric. But it was way to busy & bright for the front, so at the last minute I 'flipped' it over and used the 'wrong' side of the fabric. I'm really glad I did. It looks so much better! :-)

Great fun.... and I love all the different owl designs... you may have done the next quilt... but you can put an owl in each block... but the number that you have now is nicely balanced... and one really focuses on the owls... sure glad to see what you are working on!!

In answer to your question, I might put an owl in each of the larger sq blocks, (just because they are so darn cute) using different sizes and patterns as you have thus far. But in any case this is adorable the way it is :)

This is too precious! Love that you selected different size owls. Do you have an embrodery machine? Love the work!

Just saw your possible placement and here's my thought. You have all your owls in squares - I would look at putting it so that it's peeking into one of the the squares upper left. That way it would actually be on the a square like the others.

I love this - so cute! But I do agree that an owl at top left would be good - the idea of a "peeking" owl is perfect.

I love it! I might vote for one more small owl in the upper left .... or a 'peeking' owl there as MsQuilty suggested .... great project!

I love these owls! So wonderful for a baby quilt. MsQuilty's idea about having one peeking out is fabulous. I don't think you need more owls if your background fabric is as varied as this one (great colors, BTW).

I have an idea- could you maybe place one so it looks like it is peeking from behind one of the blocks?

Love this, Sandie! As to the owls, just take this quilt and lay it flat, then "audition" owls in your blank spots and see if you like it better. Personally, I love owls and I think there can't be too many!

I think this quilt is perfect I love the owls and then the little one tucked off to the side of the middle block. Such a cute quilt and the idea of flipping the fabric so that it is more subtle for the front fabric is so clever I may use that idea sometime. Hope this helps:)))
