What materials did you use? I'm afraid this did not go well! I could not get the overlocker to sew over the zip, even when hand turning the wheel. I ended up finishing the bag on the sewing machine and decided to just leave it there. No boxed corners.

Despite the fact it didn't go as planned, you still have what looks like a well-made bag. :)

Hi Clare, I had the same problem with my first effort. I changed the needle and tried again and it worked, not sure if that was the issue or perhaps the zip I used was old, it did feel pretty stiff. Good luck with your next one.

Hi, Claire! I'm sorry to hear that your machine wasn't happy when going over the zipper. If you'd like to start a question thread on the class, I'll happily help you troubleshoot ways to make it easier to serge over the zipper ends. Your bag is still cute, with or without boxed corners!
