I used Jane's stacking technique for the red and blue piece. For the rest I used rubber bands and folding to create resist areas. I found the damask takes dye in a softer way, probably because the fibers have been pounded by decades of washing.

I like the staked blue violet and red. When you say you stacked it how exactly did you do it. I have dyed demask table clothes and wish I had more of them. I find they took the dye realy well. Did you rubber band or tie yours to create the circles? Nice work.
