What are you most proud of? By getting others involved in the making of this quilt, I am spreading awareness of this devastating disease that so often goes misdiagnosed until it's too late. Instead of sitting around, doing nothing (or at least it feels that way when you're helpless to cure someone you love), I'm using my talents to raise money and awareness.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Cutting the small squares and half squares takes time so put on your patient hat. The pattern calls for 2 1/2" squares and is the one we are making to donate, I am also making one for my family with 4" squares, and my daughter thinks I should do an even larger one with 12" squares! This should keep us busy for a while.

Thank you for this free pattern. I am a member of a group that makes quilts and pillows for those whose spouse has died. It means a lot especially to the men.
