What was your inspiration?

My granddaughter was born 10th January 2013, she is called Ivy and lives in Australia. I wanted a quilt that had an Australian feel. The Koalas are eating eucalyptus leaves and damper bread sat around a campfire in the outback. The other blocks feature a Sulphur Crested Kockatoo and Banksia flowers all native to Australia.

What are you most proud of?

I really like how it turned out and I'm proud of my 'Ivy' quilting.

Those are some cute koalas! I love everything about your quilt. I think you should make/sell the pattern. I bet you'd get a lot of takers.

Thank you, but I did adapt this from another quilt pattern, so I don't think I could.

It's lovely - it made me think of the old song, "The Teddybears' Picnic"!
