What materials did you use? #13 July Block of the Month, I made 7 blocks for this project. Beige cotton background material with small almost invisable beige rose print Green varigated cotton joining material. The rose scraps left over from the blocks to finish the back. The green varigated scraps and the back beige scraps to finish the edge A lot of thread and a lot of time.

What are you most proud of? I folded these 7 blocks into and drawer until I could afford or aquire the material to make it into a quilt. Surgery at the hospital happened on August 29th, 2012. After leaving the hospital following my surgery on August 31st, 2012, before laeaving the city, I went to the quilting store and purchased the material to finish this quilt. I used gift money from a freind put in a get well card, with instructions to purchase something for myself. I wanted to finish this quilt for our 19th aniversary on December 28th, 2012.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I embroidered a signiture on the right bottom corner. I appicaed left over rose material shaped as leaves on the back. to finish the back. I hand quilted on the quilting frame a rose pattern starting at each block center and radiating out into circles intersecting eah other. The center rose on the front in the joining strip matches the center of the block on the back and is also quilted with a rose pattern radiating out to a circle intersecting the other circles. Enjoy the journey and take your time.

Beautiful. Great selection of colors. I am encouraged to make my own next year 2013. Pink and Greens are my colors. Just picking up a bit of purple would truly please my nieces. Thanks for a delightful encouragement.

I am so impressed by this quilt, and especially by your hand quilting! The little tumbling leaves on the back are lovely and I think your husband is going to be so proud of you when he sees it (or has he already seen it?). Well done!

He has already seen it and loves it very much.

Heather that is just wonderful. Lots of effort, time and thought went into it, anyone can see that . How terrific that you will have it done for your special day. Thanks for sharing!!!

The special day is when it comes out of the drawer and I will add a nice hand made card and my husband will have something for me at that time. He has seen it already and photographed me making this quilt.
