What was your inspiration?
I'm always looking for a sewing challenge - not that I need another jacket! It's just that each one of these jackets has extended my sewing technique in new directions.
What are you most proud of?
I'm a "perfectionist" when it comes to sewing so I try to have to fudge my work as little as possible. Good patterns help, of course. But the course I took from Janet Pray: Industrial Techniques for the Home Sewer three years ago has really improved my sewing greatly.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
None of these jackets look like the original patterns - be wiling to improvise!
