Orange Retro Bag

Instructions

I started with Simplicity "It's So Easy" A2830 and changed the size and depth.

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Accessory

For: Women

Style: Mod, Retro / Vintage

Materials

Home Fabrics and pre-bought handles from JoAnn's Fabric

What was your inspiration?

My sister-in-law rides the train to Boston every day for work and carries a lot of stuff with her. The bag is large enough to hold her work items, lunch and reading materials for the ride into the city.

What are you most proud of?

The colors are retro yet relevant for today. She's a primary color girl...so it works for her!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be kind to your machine. The heavy layers can burn out your motor (twice!)...

Sorry...apparently I hit enter too soon! It's about 12 inches deep. There are 3 pockets on either side as well as in the middle of the bag.
