Make It
Instructions
I developed this lace motif to evoke a little blossom. I used a nupp or bobble at the center, and some pulled up stitches to mimic leaves.Difficulty:

Materials
Phildar Phil'Bambou, 5.5 skeins. It's now discontinued, but I'd recommend a similar sport weight bamboo or silk blend yarn.
What was your inspiration?
I grew up in perpetual summer in Miami, and tried to put my memories of orange trees and white blossoms
to good use. I started with the blossom design thinking that it would be lovely to have a simple sleeveless
top with just a sweet motif running down the center. The top features a Faux Seam down the sides which
is echoed in the straps. The cami is worked in the round and flows from the beaded ribbing to the waist shaping with a rounded neckline made by using short rows.
What are you most proud of?
One of my favorite elements of this piece is the Herringbone Bind-Off which makes finishing the top as easy as weaving in the ends.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
be ready for some slipped stitch detailing and unique lace!
