What was your inspiration?
I made this quilt to raffle , in memory of my husband Hugh, who sadly passed away 16 April 2011. The proceeds will go to Lung Cancer Campaign Carmarthenshire ( Wales UK ). Thier aim is to make people more aware of this illness and possible catch it in time to be treated successfully. Unfortunatly for my beloved Hugh, they first found secondary tumours in his brain and the primary was in the lung. Hugh was diagnosed January 2011 and there was no treatment available. Hugh was a very brave and strong person. He requested that instead of floral tributes that donations would go to this needy cause to help others.
As it is the first anniversary of his passing coming up, I wanted to make a quilt in his memory, and carry on with his wish of helping others. He is missed by myself, son, daughter and family and friends. I love you Hugh and miss you more each day. R.I.P XX
