Ooh La La - The Sunday School Teacher!

Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Vintage French 1950's Style PinUp Corset »

Difficulty:

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Clothing

For: Women

Style: Romantic, Retro / Vintage

Materials

Cotton eyelet, bamboo cotton, satin binding, sating ribbon, hook and eye tape, vintage garters

What was your inspiration?

This really started out as a wearable muslin because I wanted to make sure I had the fit down before using my silk fabric. During the process, I just fell in love with it and added things like the satin binding and ribbons to complete it.

What are you most proud of?

The fact that it really does pull in my waist. And that it is a functional garter belt that I can wear on a daily basis.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Yes, make this up! It is so much fun, and really easy with Anna's sew along.

I love this! Your color choice is fabulous! It's so much fun when the muslin comes out so great that you just have to keep it. I love that you added bows to the tops of your garters!
