What was your inspiration?

My older daughter picked out this onesie for her younger sister and it was her favorite. I wanted to make it a keepsake, but not in a box. The idea popped into my head to sew everything closed and stuff it like a pillow. The appliques that came on the onesie only make it look that much better!

What are you most proud of?

That I've never seen this idea before. It just came to me and I usually don't think I'm that creative. And, this was before I learned how to sew on a machine (I'm still a novice), so I did it all by hand.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Nothing, it's simple. Sew most of it closed, stuff it, turn it, and finish it off like any other pillow. I also sewed the inside of the buttons down the front, so if my daughter tries to unbutton it, it is still closed and the stuffing won't come out.
