Instructions
Next go-round, I'm going to use a crochet hook to pick up the stitches around the collar and side edges. I don't like the look or feel of "regularly" picked-up stitches.Category: Knitting
Type of item: Clothing
For: Women
Style: Cute, Casual
Materials
red heart acrylic yarn (not my favorite) size 7 circular needle size 5 circular needle
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The instructions say to use a size 8 circular needle. When I made my gauge swatch, though, I was just a bit off, so I went down a needle size. I usually knight tight, and even though the gauge swatch made it seem like I needed smaller needles, my instinct said to just use the size 8's. I wish I had listened to my instincts, though, because now it's too small for me.
But no matter, this was so quick, easy, and fantastic, I'm going to just give the small one to my sister and make another one for me. Matching shrugs for everyone! :D
NOTE: the 2nd one (with cabled trim) was on larger needles, with larger yarn, and a larger size, and it still didn't fit. :/ Love this pattern, just wish I could get it to fit me!
