What materials did you use? A black and white birds nest soft knit from Fabric Mart and a tissue paper thin Roxy cotton knit from Girl Charlee

What are you most proud of? I made a lot of alterations to the first dress, copied over to my pattern and then made it again. Do pop over to my blog post to read more about it here; http://so-sew-easy.com/mccalls-m6074-the-one-to-four-hours-dress/ It was really surprising how much difference the two fabrics made when it came to the fit and style of the finished dresses - more on the blog.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I would suggest measuring the pattern pieces before deciding on what size to cut. I cut according to the pattern envelope sizing and it was VERY big. The skirt is also not as flared as the pattern envelope suggests, at least not in my fabrics.

Great dress! The altrations are probably what "made" it. I need one!
