Materials
I used Keepsake Calico fabric from JoAnn. Retro Flower Medallion for the exterior and Retro Ditsy Dots for the lining, Woven Fusible Interface, Bias Tape, and 4 buttons.
What was your inspiration?
So many inspiration from the women who carry great fabric bags, to the designers like Betz White that make such great patterns that is hard to resist.
When I first saw this pattern I liked it but did not make the purchase, a few days later I was back at the store staring at it, I caved and I am so happy I did.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud that I was able to complete that top stitching. I still need plenty of practice top stitching, so it was slow going for me, but I finished it and I am so excited about carrying it around town.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
It is a reversible bag, so pick some nice fabric for both your exterior and interior, and get cute buttons. It is a fun project, enjoy.
