Materials

Heat gun, putty knife and Hand Sander for stripping off old paint, Rough & Fine Sandpaper used on desk and handles. Screw drivers for removing and attaching handles. Paint: Black - Enamel, Green - Waterbase Latex, All other colors (in design) were done with Model Paint Testors. For the desktop I drew a made up design on a paper the size of the top and traced it onto the surface.

What was your inspiration?

Our neighbor gave us an old purple and yellow desk. We needed this piece of furniture but didn't find it to be a very appealing piece.

What are you most proud of?

That I was able to paint straight clean lines on the designs and the finished desk fit in with our decor.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Slow and easy gets the job done.
