Instructions

This quilt was on the cover of McCall's Quilting magazine February 2005 issue. Instructions are in the magazine.
I won a blue ribbon at the county fair. I machine pieced this quilt and my 87 year old aunt hand quilted it for me!

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Traditional, Classic

Materials

100% Cotton material and 100% cotton thread.

What was your inspiration?

I think the color. I knew as soon as I saw the magazine I would make it. It took me several years to get started, but I finally did it.

What are you most proud of?

The blue ribbon I won at the county fair.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It has a lot of points!!!! If you don't like sewing points don't start it. I did get frustrated a few times. I would put it away for a while and get it out again til I finished it. It was worth it. I love the finished product. It is more beautiful than I ever expected.
