For those of you who had nice comments to say about my FIRST QUILT - thank you. And for those of you who had comments regarding does NOT look like a rag quilt -- I turned it to the back of the quilt so you can see it better. This was the first time I posted a quilt and maybe the last. I'm new to quilting and posting so give me a brake. I purchased the pattern from Nana's quilt shop in Brooksville, FL they have a website. I'm in the middle of making a Welcome Flag - I'll see if it is up o our standards to post.

I like the idea of adding things for ornaments. Also, I think I would put some brown in for the trunk.

this is a gorgeous quilt. Love the way the greens blend down to the base of the tree with the strong contrast in the reds. Enjoy it.

I did this a few years ago, added quilting/sewing notions for decorations. So easy to do.

I looked at the pattern per the link and it is a rag quilt. It is just a pretty done with the seams hidden :0) You deserve to be proud......be careful quilting becomes addictive!

I know you said 'felt squares' but could it possibly be flannel squares? I've never seen printed felt before. But whatever, I still love your quilt. It is wonderful for a first quilt! I think you did a great job and picked a perfect project to start with.

love the quilt, very festive and simple..confused by the title "rag quilt"? i thought rag quilts showed the seams on the right side and were kind of frayed.

I love your quilt so simple, yet it gets you in the Christmas spirit with just one glance! Could do it on a smaller scale for wall-hanging and embellish with buttons for tree ornaments, different color schemes oh the possibilities are endless. Great work!
