That I finished! This took a long long time.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Not push the stripes too much - I think I pushed too much to make it stick to the wax paper and the space in between the stripes shrank so the "offset" wasn't very good. And put more shortening on the wax paper, mine wouldn't stick very well!
