Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Other

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Other

Style: Funky

Materials

Mixed media... old book pages, polymer clay, acrylic paints, brass wire, molds, water based varnish, permanent markers.

What was your inspiration?

This started as a part of another project that just didn't go the way I'd wanted. After a time I was inspired to pick it up again, and change it.. the original though was to make it the "body" of a large butterfly, but over the course of creating it, this is what came to be.

What are you most proud of?

Probably that I took a project I wasn't totally happy with and turned it into something I am happy with.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Like everything else... just jump in and go for it, if you don't like the way it turns out, you can always change it!

The general instructions are over on my blog... and I am currently working on a couple new ones that will have a more detailed set of directions. Hopefully they will be up soon... right now my own child is moving out so all my time seems to be devoted to helping her!

I love to recycle stuff into unique items. I really like this project, do you have instructions on how to make it?

You know, there really aren't any "real" instructions. I am working on one now that I will be putting a tute for on the blog. I'll probably post that here as well, so if you watch for it, that project will give you a general idea of how I create these things. Thanks for commenting!
