What advice would you give someone starting this project? my block is just 12 x 12, I think that is purely my own fault as the background fabric was one that frays so I took a bigger chunk when i pieced all four blocks together.

What a sweet block, very pretty in pink. I've found spray on starch a great help with the more "fragile" prone to fraying fabrics, have you tried it? Boy oh boy I love this block... might just have to make this one first :-)

I think you might like to make the other one first, only as its easier to get a hang on paper piecing, but of course your choice, the heart one I had a few problems, turning the fabric up the wrong way all the time, mind you I wasnt in a good frame of mind to do it. and No i havent tried spray on starch, might give it a go

Mine turned out to be 12 x 12 too. I looked back at the pattern and it said that it was for a 12" block. I figured that was why but now I'm not sure how to make it work with the rest of them!

if you were making a quilt of just these it would work, but if you are wanting to make one within the block of the month I doubt it will work, might be an idea to ask o the page
