What are you most proud of? This was my first time making pinwheels and my points were pretty good on most blocks!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? I had a hard time finding the points of the octagon. After the second time around, I decided to mark the points with my frixion pen and that made a big difference!

It has been raining all day and the flash did not do this fabric justice! Instead of doing a circular spiral, I did one with an octagon to mirror the shape of the table runner. This was a quilt of firsts for me. First quilt I have made from looking at a picture and winging it, first time making pinwheels, first time doing the spiral, and first time spray basting. Don't think I will spray baste again, because even with the windows open, the fumes caused am asthma attack. Let me tell you it is hard to sew slow and steady after a breathing treatment!

I wear a respirator when I spray baste. Those fumes are noxious for sure!! I love the adaptation to an octagon spiral!
