Materials

Ocean Jasper stone with swarovski crystals. The pendant is wrapped in silver plated parawire and is hanging from a double viking weave necklace. The clasp is hand made.

What was your inspiration?

The ocean jasper stone.

What are you most proud of?

I am really pleased with the bail. I have never done one with coiled wire and I had the idea and it just flowed!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Let your imagination take you where it wants to go.

I'm sorry but I no longer have this piece. All the pictures I have of it are front views. The stone has a side drilled hole at the top of the stone. The bail was wrapped using that. The sides and back of the stone are bare with no wires. The viking knit chain is 22 inches long after being pulled through the draw plate. I think the usual rule of them is that your viking knit will be almost twice as long after you pull it through the draw plate. Mine has not doubled but is maybe 2/3 longer.

Oh my Lord this is beautiful. I have done wrapped pendants before, but nothing like this one. Just beautiful

Thank you! I was having trouble getting my bail to look right with side drilled holes and came up with the idea of using the coiled wire embellishment. I think the best ideas come up when I am struggling with getting something to come out right and the wire isn't cooperating!
