This bracelet was made by gathering together all of the beads in the colors I wanted and then using Freeform Peyote Stitch to construct the bracelet - great fun!

Difficulty:

Category: Jewelry

Materials

A tremendous selection of seed beads, freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and nymo thread.

What was your inspiration?

The colors of the sea and to include pearls of varying types and shapes to capture the undulating movement of the ocean.

What are you most proud of?

That the materials came together so beautifully.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

I'm glad you like my piece. Do try Freeform peyote - it's so much fun and you find yourelf just getting lost in the piece while making it - so hard to put down and to know when it is truly fininshed, always wanting to add just one more little bead!

What a great piece you designed. This would not be easy! I've done probably 30 Peyote bracelets and never even thought of doing something like this. Very inspiring.

Sally - I'm so glad you like the bracelet. Freeform Peyote stitch is so much fun! I made a necklace with the same technique, which I will post soon. It is called "Aurora Borealis" and is inspired by a trip I took to Iceland in the winter and the colors of the landscape.
