What was your inspiration?

Nature is a favorite inspiration to many of my designs. This is one of the classic designs in the HeartStrings pattern line and has remained popular over many years.

What are you most proud of?

This lace piece produces a nicely realistic-looking oak leaf. I was very proud to have worked out the lace shaping for this design.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Plan to pay attention when knitting this lace leaf. After doing one and seeing how the shaping works, making additional leaves will go more quickly because of your familiarity with the pattern.
