What was your inspiration?
I have a pattern book that included this pattern. My best friend wanted a unique gift for a friend, and she chose this pillow. So I suppose it was her inspiration ;)
What are you most proud of?
I used my brand-new sewing machine and sewed the inside fabric pillow! I had a bit of a challenge choosing colors for the flowers since my friend wanted different colors for the pillow. I think the colors came together nicely.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Be ready to sew! Be careful not to stretch the crocheted gusset too much when getting ready to cut the fabric lining or it will be too big for the pillow sides. Measure the half-moon side of the side with the flowers and make sure that that measurement matches one long side of the gusset. Experiment with colors! That's the funnest part.
