What was your inspiration?
Another project from the Love of Sewing Retreat I attended. All of the sewing was done on a serger. We made belt loops for the straps. They were tacked down temporarily with some glue until it was assembled.
To assemble, we started with a piece of muslin, then lay down a piece of fusable Peltex, then the center fabric w/straps. Sides were sewn on and pressed then top and bottom pieces were added. Outside edges were sewn with a wave stitch.
The flower is made from a strip of organza and a strip of taffeta and both were edged with a wave stitch. The strips were then rolled to make the rose.
