What materials did you use? Cotton fabric, Bondaweb (same as Wonderunder!), cotton and polyester threads, bits of old clothes, acrylic yarn for hair so far (will add some jewellery and other embellishments soon). I also still have to back and quilt the project.

What are you most proud of? This is not finished yet - but I just couldn't wait to post a picture of my work in progress. I think a hat or something in the hair is needed; perhaps something on a lapel and most definitely some jewellery!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Sign up for Carol Ann Waugh's class "Snazzy Stitched Portraits" - so satisfying and such fun!

Thank you - I tried to get the right colour, but it isn't quite right - looks more brown than green. Apparently eyes are only ever actually blue or brown so green eyes are either a kind of brown or a kind of blue. Mine are a kind of blue and the ones on the project have come out a kind of brown!

Thank you - she started out as a self-portrait, but she really doesn't look much like me (I have more wrinkles than that!!!)
