What materials did you use? All cotton fabrics and scraps. A true WIP started several years ago. I have the Pieced Hexie Book and as soon as I assemble this quilt, I'm going to make a pieced hexie quilt.

What are you most proud of? Actually sticking to this project and not hiding it away forever! Very time consuming but also relaxing to sit and stitch as time permits. Maybe that is why it is progressing to completion. It is simple and not very creative but my next one will be a pieced Hexie for sure!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Don't stress with color choices, just use anything and everything in a broad range of colors. Not too matchy.

Whats the difference between a WIP hexie quilt and a pieced hexie quilt?

hi, my Work in Progress hexagon quilt needs the hexie flowers sewn together in order to be a finished top. The class on pieced hexies I purchased from craftsy with Mickey Depre was called Pieced Hexies because she has a technique to piece little squares of fabric before she cuts the hexie shape. Really cool design possibilities!

I believe WIP refers to "work in progress" took awhile to figure that out. I call them UFO's unfinished objects

I think this quilt turned out beautifully, I want to make using some old fashioned fabric reminding me of a quilt my grand mother made
