What materials did you use? White worsted-weight wool for body, black wool for eyes and mouth, orange wool for nose. Green eyelash yarn for hair. Arms and fingers are hemp twine. Wrist bands, belt and collar are from a used rubber bike inner tube. I used straight pins to create spikes on them, and the pin heads to create the look of fasteners. The big buttons on his tummy are inner tube circles, with blunted roofing nails sticking through. His nose ring is a jump ring used in jewelry making.

What are you most proud of? I'm really happy with the way his jewelry turned out. It took quite a long time to put all of those little bits together, but I think it's the details that really make the difference on this little guy.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Super glue is great for gluing the rubber to itself, and for securing the straight pins. Just make sure you have a couple pairs of really good tweezers on hand for holding those tiny bits while gluing. Yes, I glued my fingers together more than once!
