Cotton fabric with embellishments. Backing is fabric covered aluminium with a rivited pin back.
What was your inspiration?
Online images of fabric flowers using the kanzashi method for folding petals. The button and fabric were just meant for each other.
What are you most proud of?
How variouse parts come together and make something special. Combination of ideas fitting into place!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Have fun and play. It is taking a traditional pattern and making it your own. Let the raw materials guide you. You may start with an idea but it is okay to modify it as you go!
